Austin Transportation Department -- Love to Ride

Austin Transportation Department will feature bike ambassadors, large-screen trip planning, and the Love to Ride initiative. The Big Jump is an initiative to significatly increase bike ridership in Austin over the next two years. The City of Austin has worked hard to make it easier for cyclists to ride Austin's streets in safety. Explore the programs that are bringing biking into our ever day lives.


Free Passes from B-Cycle

B-Cycle will have a pop-up station at Earth Day ATX and is offering free passes on Earth Day. Use the code 42118 at any kiosk on Earth Day, April 21st 2018 to waive the 24 hour access fee.

Bike Release

Earth Day Austin is pleased to partner with Bicycle Sport Shop, Austin's Yellow Bike Project, and the Ghisallo Cycling Initiative to collect, repair and redistribute bikes for young people at the Earth Day ATX event Saturday, April 21 at Huston-Tillotson University (900 Chicon Street). If you have a child or are a student in need of a bicycle, enter and register for the drawing that will be taking place at 3pm at the Yellow Bike Project booth during the Earth Day festival for dozens of free bikes. A drawing for adult-sized bikes for students through college will take place at 5pm. Winners of bikes will also receive a bike helmet, proper bike and helmet fittings, safety training and the opportunity to test their new wheels in a bicycle rodeo.
