American Textile Recycling Service joins Austin Earth Day 2016 with a mission to educate our communities about the importance of diverting unwanted clothing, shoes and household textiles from landfill. The average American throws away 70 pounds of textiles each year. These items can be reused, recycled or repurposed simply by dropping off at a nearby ATRS Clothing & Shoe Donation bin. Through our participation at Austin Earth Day 2016, ATRS joins the pledge towards 3 Billion Acts of Green by making clothing donations easy and convenient in our communities. Together we can Take Action by giving each donated garment a second life.
