GETTING TO THE EVENT

From increased bus routes and red line service, to remote parking shuttles, to cycling options and last mile connections, we have many options for getting to Earth Day while lowering your carbon footprint.

Biking:

Bike to Earth Day! Wanting to bike from the March for Science to Earth Day? Join a biking meetup! We will provide plenty of bike racks around the HT campus as well as a Bike parking provided by Bike Austin. B-Cycle will have a pop-up station at Earth Day ATX and is offering free passes on Earth Day, at any station. Use the code 42118 at any kiosk on Earth Day, April 29th 2018 to waive the 24 hour access fee. And find out more about how you could win a free bike at Earth Day!

Bus:

There are several bus stops located around the HT campus. Bus 4, 21, 22, and 320 stop within walking distance of the campus.

Rideshare/TNC:

Consider taking a rideshare service at Earth Day this year! We encourage riders to look at carpool options. There are designated drop off/pick up locations at 11th St in front of HT. Ride a Lyft to Earth Day this Sunday April 29th! Code: EDATX18 Value: 25% off a ride to or from Earth Day ATX. Ride must start or end at Huston-Tillotson University to qualify for discount. Max discount is $3 off ride. Code expires at 8pm on April 29.

Driving:

Please do your part to reduce carbon emissions by avoiding driving to Earth Day. If you must drive to the event, please consider carpooling. We have limited parking available around the festival grounds.

Accessibility:

Disabled Parking is available in the VIP parking lot. To access this parking, come north on Chalmers form 7th street. Take a right into the parking lot before you reach 11th St.

 

STAYING HEALTHY & HYDRATED

There will be three first aid tents throughout the event grounds
Number of restrooms located throughout the event
Thanks to Mothers' Milk Bank, there will be a nursing station
Thanks to Austin Resource Recovery, there are hydration stations for you to refill reusable water bottles. We encourage everyone to bring their own reusable water bottle. For those who forget one of the hydration stations there will be reusable water bottles provided
