GETTING TO THE EVENT
From increased bus routes and red line service, to remote parking shuttles, to cycling options and last mile connections, we have many options for getting to Earth Day while lowering your carbon footprint.
Bike to Earth Day! Wanting to bike from the March for Science to Earth Day? Join a biking meetup! We will provide plenty of bike racks around the HT campus as well as a Bike Valet provided by Bike Austin. If you do not own a bike, rent one at a B-cycle station, located minutes from the Capitol and Huston-Tillotson University. And find out more about how you could win a free bike at Earth Day!
CapMetro is increasing the Red Line for Earth Day! Plaza Saltillo is within walking distance to Huston-Tillotson University.
There are several bus stops located around the HT campus. Bus 4, 21, 22, and 320 stop within walking distance of the campus.
Consider taking a rideshare service at Earth Day this year! We encourage riders to look at carpool options. There are designated drop off/pick up locations at 11th St in front of HT.
Please do your part to reduce carbon emissions by avoiding driving to Earth Day. If you must drive to the event, please consider carpooling. We have limited parking available around the festival grounds. We sincerely thank the locations below for offering free parking on the morning and afternoon of the march and festival.
